FORMER HOTEL CONVERTED TO HOUSING FOR CHARLOTTE’S CHRONICALLY Homeless
The full-scale repurpose and renovation of a former hotel property to 88 individual, fully furnished studio apartments complete with kitchens was carried out by McKibbon Places, who donated their time, labor, and project management expertise to th property’s transformation. Welcome kits, which include essential items such as sheets, towels, pots, pans, cleaning supplies and more, were provided by McKibbon Places and its sister company, hotel management firm McKibbon Hospitality. McKibbon Places is also managing the conversion of a former Days Inn in Asheville, NC, which will provide housing for the area’s homeless population once completed.
